One of the things real estate agents appreciate about our business model is that they can count on the home inspector showing up to make a professional first impression for their clients by arriving in a clean, marked company vehicle and a pressed uniform.
Our fleet of vehicles is part of the home inspection experience.
This November, it was time to retire a couple of them after years and hundreds of thousands of miles of service (one even had the crank manual window opener). Donating to a worthy cause made the most sense.
Why we picked North Georgia Works!
When we heard about the unique success model of North Georgia Works!, we knew we found the right cause. As the homeless population continues to increase, this organization provides transitional housing and work for the men in its program. They do this by partnering with businesses in the community who need staffing help.
The facility offers an opportunity for self-sufficiency as the men who graduate from the program are provided after care in the form of employment, a car and independent housing.

- Addiction recovery and health care
- Eduational services
- Vocational training
- Legal assistance
- Financial management and independent living
- Spiritual formation
Given the supply-chain issues the world has recently experinced, providing transportation has become a significant roadblock.
Meeting Jonathan
We took a tour of the facility and saw how painstakingly thoughtful and intensive the care management is. We were humbled by the stories of the residents, how hard they have to fight for things we take for granted, and how they are literally changing their lives through work.
We were lucky enough to get to meet Jonathan. He has worked his way through the program to become the Kitchen Manager and one of the Resident Managers. And he is the recipient of one of the Jeeps. The smile on his face and energy of hope in the room was contagious when he was told about getting one of the vehicles.
