Georgia CE: Building Permits and the Home Inspection

Students will gain a clear understanding of what purpose the building permit serves. The different types of building permits will be discussed and what repairs would be included in those types of permits.  We will discuss who can apply for (pull) certain permits and why this might be a factor in the type of permit associated with a particular property. Students will learn what to look for that might be an indicator that a proper permit might not have been pulled for a particular property they intend to list or sell. They will gain a clear understanding of how this may impact them or their client and what the implications may be down the road.
